On 21 September 2016, members from the Bellerive Criminal Investigation Branch arrested and charged a 33 year old Mornington woman with Arson.

The charge relates to a deliberately lit house fire that occurred at approximately 5am on Tuesday, 20 September 2016, in Saladin Circle, Clarendon Vale.

The unit was owned by Mission Australia and the occupant was not home at the time of the fire.

There was approximately $150,000 worth of damaged caused to the unit.

The woman was detained to appear in the Hobart Court of Petty Sessions at an after-hours court session this afternoon.
