On Tuesday, emergency services attended a house fire at a Housing Tasmania property located at 4/52 Herbert Street, Invermay. The fire destroyed the property valued at approximately $250,000.

Investigators determined the fire to have been deliberately lit and on Wednesday, detectives from Launceston CIB charged a 53 year old Invermay woman with arson.
The woman was detained to appear in an out of hours sitting of the Burnie Magistrates Court.
