Two men have been charged over an armed robbery which occurred on the Bellerive Boardwalk last night (Saturday).

Police responded to a report of a male being assaulted, during which time he was threatened with a firearm with his mobile phone and wallet stolen.

A short time later the two males were located by police at an address in Warrane.

“An integral aspect to the swift resolution of this incident was the co-operation received from local businesses, in addition to the high quality CCTV in the area,” Sergeant Adrian Mollon said.
