About 6.30pm Friday 14 February Devonport Police, acting on information received, intercepted a vehicle in the car park of the Argosy Hotel in East Devonport.

They arrested a 30 year old male from Somerset who was subsequently charged with a number of offences including escaping from police custody.

He was detained for an out of hours court appearance.
