Armed robbery, Westbury

At 11.55am on Wednesday 21st July, 2010, a man entered the Commonwealth Bank at Westbury armed with a knife and disguised with a balaclava. He made demands for cash from a female teller within the branch. The teller handed the offender an amount of cash and shortly afterwards the offender left the branch. No person was injured as a result of the robbery.

Police are seeking information in relation to the identity of the offender who is described as male aged 20’s to 30’s, medium build, possibly chubby build with ginger coloured facial hair.

Police are also seeking information with regards to a Silver 1983 Nissan Pulsar reported stolen from the Launceston Central Business District on the 20th of July, 2010 between 12 noon and 3.30pm as this may also be linked to the crime.
