On Saturday the 2 June 2012 at about 11pm, a 24 year old Burnie man was arrested in George Street Launceston.

He was charged with armed robbery of the Commonwealth Bank at Newstead and an unrelated assault matter.

He will appear at the Launceston Court of Petty Session  in an out of hours court sitting in the morning.
