Armed robbery investigations continuing

Police are continuing their investigations into an armed robbery which occurred at the Westbury Commonwealth Bank on Wednesday, 21 July 2010 shortly before midday.

Police are interested in speaking with members of the public who may have observed a silver 1983 model Nissan Pulsar sedan, registration number EC1901. The vehicle was last seen travelling at speed North along Birralee Road at Westbury a short time after the robbery.

The vehicle is distinctive in that it has a black plastic rear wind screen louvre. It was reported stolen from the Bathurst Street car park in Launceston between midday and 3.30pm on Tuesday, 20 July 2010.

Police are appealing to members of the public who may have information relative to the stolen vehicle or the robbery. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Northern District Criminal Investigation Branch on 03 63 363911.
