Stealing – Collins Street – Man Arrested
Further to a call for information in relation to the Robbery on Collins Street, Hobart on 4th November 2014, a 21 year old man from Warrane has been charged with Stealing.

Detectives from Hobart CIB would like to speak with anyone who was on Collins Street, near the Cat and Fiddle arcade entrance at around 9.35am yesterday morning.
An elderly man had just made a cash withdrawal at the Commonwealth Bank ATM on Collins Street, when an unknown man grabbed the cash from his hands and took off down Collins Street and into the Cat and Fiddle arcade.
In his haste the offender dropped a note which was retrieved by a passer-by and returned to the elderly man.
Police believe the offender ran through the mall and was last seen running up Elizabeth Street towards the Mid-City Hotel.
The suspect is believed to be late teens to early 20’s, small build, about 5 4”, of African appearance, wearing a black baseball cap with white motif on the front, and a check shirt unbuttoned at front.
If you were the person that retrieved the dropped note or if you were in the vicinity and believe you have information that could assist the investigation, police would like to hear from you.
