Aggravated Carjacking incident in Lenah Valley (update).

Earlier today Hobart Detectives charged a 27 year old man in respect to an incident occurring in Glenorchy and Lenah Valley overnight. The man, of No Fixed Place of Abode, was charged with aggravated carjacking, unlawfully set fire to property, evading police with aggravated circumstances, motor vehicle stealing, firearms offences and other traffic related matters.

Following additional enquiries, Detectives have also charged a further two (2) people in respect to the carjacking matter from Lenah Valley early this morning.

Detective Inspector Bodnar said: “A 26 year old man from Brighton has also been charged with aggravated carjacking, motor vehicle stealing, evading police with aggravated circumstances and driving whilst disqualified. A 25 year old female from Herdsman Cove has been charged with aggravated carjacking and motor vehicle stealing”.
