Aggravated burglary at Alanvale
At about 11.45pm Wednesday 22 June 2011 a male broke into Archers Manor at Alanvale in Launceston. Once inside he has stolen some alcohol from behind the bar and the alarms have activated.
The licensee came downstairs to see what was happening and was hit in the head by the offender. The offender continued hitting the licensee and then left the complex with some alcohol.
The licensee was taken to the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) where he received treatment for a head injury, collar bone injury and bruising to his body. He remained at the LGH overnight and is in a stable condition.
The male offender is described as being aged 20 – 30 years old, between 150 – 165cm, medium build, wearing a light grey hoodie jumper and blue jeans.
