At approximately 7:45pm on Wednesday 23 December 2015 an altercation occurred at a residence in Riseley St Kings Meadows.  During the incident a 31year old Launceston man was assaulted and threatened with a firearm.

Police attended several related crime scenes and conducted forensic examinations in regards to the incident.

The victim was examined by paramedics and transported to the Launceston General Hospital to receive treatment for a laceration to his head. The victim’s injuries are not life threatening and the parties involved are known to each other.
