Around 10 pm on Friday 29 April 2022 a pedestrian and a utility were involved in a crash on Driffield Street in Queenstown.   As a result of the crash the male was taken to hospital and is being treated for head injuries.  The driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old male from Queenstown, was not injured.

The pedestrian was said to have been involved in a number of altercations in the Queenstown area prior to the crash.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed this incident or the pedestrian’s behaviour prior to and following the crash to come forward by calling 131 444.
