9-Year-old pedestrian stuck by vehicle in Burnie
At Approximately 4.20pm on Monday the 29th of June 2020 a 9-year-old Burnie child was struck by a bronze single cab utility on West Park Grove, Burnie whilst attempting to cross the road from behind a parked car.
The child was in the presence of her parent at the time of the incident.
She was treated at the scene by Ambulance Officers and conveyed to the North West Regional Hospital where her condition is still being assessed.
Early investigations indicate that drugs, alcohol or speed were not contributing factors in this crash.
Police would like to take this opportunity to remind parents to speak to their children of the dangers of crossing roads in the vicinity of parked vehicles.
