Police yesterday arrested and charged a 61-year-old woman from Sandford with 122 counts of Dishonestly Acquiring a Financial Advantage.

It is alleged that Robyn Clare Pearce met a 64-year-old man from New South Wales on an online dating site and over a three year period she obtained more than $247,000 from him with the false promise of repaying him the money.

She appeared in the Hobart Magistrates Court yesterday afternoon where she was remanded in custody to appear via video link on 19 February 2015.
