A 47 year old Devonport escaped serious injury following a truck rollover on Stowport Road, Round Hill, yesterday.  The crash which occurred shortly after 5 pm (Sunday) involved a fully laden truck transporting potatoes from a nearby farm to Ulverstone.

Due to the nature of the crash part of Stowport Road was closed for several hours, whilst the truck and its cargo were cleared.

“Although the road has been cleared, police ask that motorists obey the temporary speed reduction signs in the area.”  Sergeant Adrian Mollon said.

“The cause of the crash is still under investigation and will involve police and partner agencies.” Sergeant Mollon said.
