29 Year Old Male Person Receives Injuries After Being Thrown From Trailer at Sassafras
At approximately 4.15pm on Thursday the 26/12/13, a 29 year old male person from Railton received serious head injuries after being thrown from a trailer, being towed by a Mitsubishi Pajero 4wd wagon on Lovetts Flat Road, Sassafras.
Due to serious head injuries the male was transferred to the Royal Hobart Hospital for treatment.
Tasmania Police attended the scene and investigations are continuing in relation to the cause of the incident. At this stage it appears that speed and alcohol were not factors.
Police would like to remind road users of the dangers associated with travelling in trailers, boats, and load carrying areas of vehicles where there are no restraints or safety devices and the areas were not designed for carrying people.
