On Sunday the 24^th of November 2019 a 20 year old male from Mayfield was taken into custody in the Beechford area in relation to the investigation of setting fire to vegetation and other matters.

The male was subsequently charged with numerous offences including armed robbery, motor vehicle stealing, aggravated burglary, unlawfully setting fire to property and destroy property.  The male was detained to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Monday the 25^th of November 2019.

The charges relate to alleged incidents that occurred in the Rocherlea and Stoney Head areas on Saturday the 23^rd of November 2019.

Police are continuing investigations in relation to the fires in the Lulworth and Lefroy areas.
