1999 theft solved

Bridgewater Detectives today recovered a 4.6 metre aluminium dinghy reported stolen from a mooring at Tinderbox in 1999.

The ability of the boat owner to record and identify specific markings on the vessel played a big part in clearing up this matter.

Police investigating this complaint consider it a timely reminder to the public to record brands, serial numbers and the use of photographic equipment to assist in identifying stolen property.

A 51 year old Brighton man is assisting police with their enquiries in relation to the stolen boat.
