A youth has been charged with Armed Robbery over an incident that occurred at a Launceston Bottleshop on 18 May 2024. The youth entered the business armed with a screwdriver and stole a quantity of alcohol after threatening staff.

He was arrested by police nearby. He has been charged with a number of related offences and bailed to appear in court at a later date.

No person was injured in the incident.
