Police in Launceston have charged a 15-year-old boy with burglary and stealing in relation to recent offences committed in both Hobart and Launceston.
The youth was arrested yesterday over a stealing in Launceston, and further investigations identified he was a person of interest in relation to a series of crimes that occurred in Hobart earlier this month.
This included the burglary of a petrol station in Gagebrook, where a significant quantity of cash and cigarettes were stolen.
The youth has been charged with three counts of burglary and three counts of stealing and will appear in the Launceston Youth Justice Court on 22 August.
