Helicopter Medivac – Maria Island (10-March)
At 1200hrs today the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was activated to medivac a 29 year old female who had fallen from her pushbike on Maria Island.
Fatal Single Vehicle Crash – Huon Highway near Dover (9-March)
A 51 year old Dover man died as the result of a single vehicle crash on the Huon Highway south of Dover at approximately 3pm on Sunday the 9th day of March 2014.
Helicopter Medivac – Leven River
At 1430hrs today the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was activated to medivac a 34 year old Smithton man from the Leven River. He had been on a bushwalk when he was bitten twice on the hand by a tiger snake.

A 25 year old woman from Leslie Vale is in the Royal Hobart Hospital following a three (3) vehicle crash on the Tasman Highway (Midway Point Causeway) at approximately 9.25am on Friday the 7th day of March 2014.

Man Charged Over Firearm Incident
Detectives from Glenorchy CIB have charged a 20 year old Gagebrook man in relation to the shooting of a man at Gagebrook on 5 March 2014.

Glenorchy CIB are investigating an incident which occurred shortly after 10pm on Wednesday night, 5 March 2014. At that time, police attended the report of a disturbance, which was a dispute between two parties known to one another and conducted initial enquires with the people involved.

Police are investigating an allegation of assault in Collins Street in the early hours of 23 February 2014 and are seeking assistance from the public to identify the 2 men shown in the CCTV picture.
Serious Single Vehicle Crash – Upper Hilton Road – Austins Ferry
Two Austins Ferry men, one aged 23 and the other aged 36 are in the Royal Hobart Hospital in a serious condition following a single vehicle crash on Upper Hilton Road, Austins Ferry at approximately 11.35am on Wednesday 5th March 2014.
Emergency Services Hone Rescue Skills
Staff from the Tasmania Fire Service, State Emergency Service and Tasmania Police have participated in an intensive Vertical Rescue training course, conducted during the past week at Freycinet National Park.
