About 12.30am, on Tuesday 15th of March 2011, a 52 year old woman died in a house fire at Mayfield.
Search and rescue exercise Flinders Island
This weekend, 12-13 March, Tasmania Police in conjunction with State Emergency Service and Ambulance Tasmania volunteers will be conducting a major search and rescue exercise on Flinders Island.
Fatal crash Frankford Road
At 12:45pm on Thursday, police were notified of a motor vehicle crash on Frankford Road, near Harford. On arrival, police located a grey Mazda sedan, which had left the road on a sweeping right bend and collided with a tree. The vehicle had been travelling east.
Unit fire at New Norfolk
At 8.40pm on Wednesday 9 March 2011, emergency services attended a structural fire at a unit in Montagu Street in New Norfolk. The fire was extinguished and the unit sustained extensive damage, estimated to be $100,000. The unit was occupied at the time of the fire.
