I am pleased to present the strategic direction of the Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management, Future Focus 2021-2023.
Future Focus outlines four areas of strategic focus: supporting a healthy and resilient workforce, building frontline capability, enhancing trust and strengthening community relationships and capitalising on interoperable emergency services.
The unprecedented challenges we have faced in 2020 highlight the unpredictable nature of policing and emergency services. Under the pillars of Readiness, Response and Reassurance we will continue to develop community resilience, and prepare and plan for emergencies.
We will continue to be an agile, innovative and flexible emergency service with a skilled and well equipped workforce. We will represent the community we serve through promotion of diversity and inclusion.
And we remain committed to continuous improvement and to promote trust and accountability.
Our response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and our engagement with the community, demonstrates that we are well positioned to deliver the policing and emergency management services our community needs and expects.
